The plans

What Airtable charges

Airtable charges per paid user, with Team and Business prices billed annually and Enterprise Scale quoted privately. Your plan also sets limits for records, attachments and automations, so reaching a limit can mean upgrading.

Team

US$20 per user per month billed annually

Read-only collaborators are free, while editing access drives paid seats.

Business

US$45 per user per month billed annually

Business adds scale and administration at a higher per-user price than Team.

Enterprise Scale

Quoted privately

Airtable directs organisations to sales for a quote.

How the bill is built

group

Paid editing seats

Your bill grows with the number of people who have editing access. Business lists at US$45 per user per month when billed annually, while read-only collaborators are free. Team lists at US$20 per user per month on annual billing.

extension

Record capacity

Each plan limits how many records you can keep. If you reach that limit, adding more records requires an upgrade. The plan you choose therefore affects both the per-user price and how much record capacity your business has.

build

Attachment capacity

Plans also set limits on attachment storage. When you reach the allowance, Airtable stops accepting new attachments until you upgrade. This is a separate capacity limit from the number of records in your account.

autorenew

Automation allowances

Automations have usage limits on each plan. The price includes a capped allowance rather than unlimited runs, so the plan's allowance matters if your business relies on automations.

calendar_month

A year of Airtable

What the yearly bill adds up to

At the listed rates, one Team seat costs US$240 a year and one Business seat costs US$540 a year, based on annual billing. For 50 Business seats, the list-price scenario is US$27,000 a year. That is a scenario based on the published rate, not a verified customer invoice. Enterprise Scale is quoted privately.

What you are really paying for

dashboard

Editing access

Airtable charges by paid user, with editing access driving paid seats. Read-only collaborators are free. The bill is therefore tied to who can edit your records, not simply how many people can view them.

lock

Room for your records

Your plan sets a limit on records and attachment storage. If you reach either allowance, you need to upgrade to keep adding records or attachments. Part of the plan price pays for the capacity Airtable makes available.

history

A hosted platform

Airtable sells a hosted platform built around your records. Your plan includes a capped automation allowance as well as record and attachment limits. The price covers access to the platform, with the available capacity set by your plan.

The owned alternative

Keep the database you own

Business Registers gives your business a database you own, built around the way you work. Enterprise DNA brings your Airtable data across and runs your version for you. The managed option has one setup fee, then a monthly retainer. There is also a free version you can run yourself. Running it yourself still needs computing and an agent subscription.

Questions

Airtable pricing, answered

How much does an Airtable Business seat cost for a year? expand_more

Airtable Business lists at US$45 per user per month when billed annually. That is US$540 a year for each paid user. As a list-price scenario, 50 Business seats come to US$27,000 a year. That figure is not a verified customer invoice.

Do read-only Airtable users add to the bill? expand_more

Read-only collaborators are free. Airtable charges for paid users with editing access, so the number of people who can edit helps determine your seat bill. Business lists at US$45 per user per month billed annually, while Team lists at US$20.

Can Airtable costs rise beyond the seat price? expand_more

Your plan also sets limits for records, attachment storage and automations. Reaching the record limit means you need to upgrade to add more records. Reaching the attachment allowance stops new attachments until you upgrade. Automation use is capped by plan too.
