What people compare Asora with
Asora lists US$15,600 a year (US$1,300 a month, billed annually) for a family tracking 50 to 100 million, plus a US$3,900 onboarding fee in year one. You may be looking for an alternative because the subscription rises with tracked net worth, with extra charges for more investment accounts.

How to choose a Asora alternative
- 1
What your bill follows
Asora sets its subscription by the net worth you track, and extra investment account packs cost more. Check whether you want a bill tied to the family's wealth, or a cost that does not move when that wealth crosses a bracket. Include onboarding and any extra services in your comparison.
- 2
Who owns your records
Consider where your records sit and who controls access. With an owned version, the records sit in a database your business owns, on a server the family controls. You choose who can see them. That is different from relying on a shared platform to hold the family's information.
- 3
Fit with your own rules
Check whether the system reflects your fields, entities and ownership arrangements, and the checks your family needs. Asora's dashboards show what it chose to chart. Your own version can be built around your business's records and rules, including trust and company checks relevant to New Zealand and Australia.
- 4
What switching involves
Asora exports holdings and transactions to Excel in its own format, saved as CSV. Those records can be brought across, with ownership between entities, fund commitments and the location of trust papers added during setup. Ask what will transfer, what needs entering once, and which bank or custodian feeds matter to you.

Questions
Asora alternatives, answered
What happens to our Asora records during a switch? expand_more
Asora exports holdings and transactions to Excel in its own format, saved as CSV. Enterprise DNA brings that data across during setup. Each month-end holdings export becomes a dated value for every asset, while ownership between entities, fund commitments and where trust papers are kept are added once.
Can the version use our bank and custodian information? expand_more
The free version takes values from a custodian export, an Asora export, or figures you provide. For your custom version, Enterprise DNA connects feeds for the banks and custodians your family uses. Monthly statements can still provide information from other institutions.
Does a trust or Division 7A check replace professional advice? expand_more
No. The checks compare your records with rules your advisers already work to and identify the relevant section. Your lawyer and accountant still decide what to do. The checks cover trust papers and beneficiary information under the Trusts Act 2019, and loans from an Australian private company under Division 7A.
How does Enterprise DNA charge for an owned version? expand_more
Enterprise DNA charges one setup fee, followed by a monthly retainer agreed on the call. The charge does not change when the family's net worth moves into another bracket. There is also a free version you can run yourself.
