The plans
What CaptivateIQ charges
CaptivateIQ does not publish prices. It charges per seat, counting admins and everyone paid commission, then adds a one-time setup fee and charges separately for its revenue accounting report.
CaptivateIQ software
Quoted privately
The bill is based on admins and commission payees, with a one-time setup fee and a separate revenue accounting add-on.
How the bill is built
A seat for every payee
CaptivateIQ counts every admin and every person you pay commission as a seat. That includes reps who only open a statement once a month, so hiring more reps increases the number of seats on your bill.
One-time setup fee
CaptivateIQ charges a setup fee to build your plans in its worksheets. If you change a plan next year, you are back in its formula builder to make the changes.
Revenue accounting add-on
The revenue accounting report is a separate subscription. It tells your accountant how much commission to spread over a multi-year contract, rather than being included in the main software price.
Support and managed services
CaptivateIQ sells three tiers of support and managed services on top of the software. The basic tier promises a reply within 24 hours, so the support tier can also affect what you pay.
A year of CaptivateIQ
Your yearly bill is private
CaptivateIQ publishes no price, so you cannot calculate a yearly total from public figures. The bill grows with the number of admins and people paid commission. A one-time setup fee adds to the initial cost, while the revenue accounting report is a separate subscription. Support and managed services tiers are also sold on top of the software.
Underneath the bill
What you are really paying for
Seats for your team
You pay for each admin and each person receiving commission, even if a rep only checks a statement once a month. The seat count ties the software bill to the number of people involved, not just the people who administer commissions.
Plan rules in worksheets
Your plans live as worksheets inside the vendor. Payouts can be exported as a spreadsheet, but the rules that produced them do not export with the payouts, leaving your plan logic in the vendor's format.
Separate services and reports
Setup, support and managed services sit alongside the software, and the revenue accounting report is a separate subscription. These are additional things to pay for beyond seats, rather than one published price for everything.
