How the bill is built
Rig count sets your plan
Basic covers 1 to 3 rigs at $750 a month, which is $9,000 a year. A fourth rig moves you to Professional, which is quoted privately.
Plods or shifts add to the bill
CorePlan says its default pricing is usage based, calculated each month from the number of plods or shifts you submit. A night shift is another plod on the bill.
Forms add a rig fee
Prestarts, inspections, incidents and documents sit in the Forms add-on, from $550 a month. CorePlan also charges a fee for each rig using it.
Staff Management adds a people fee
Staff Management and timesheets are an add-on from $500 a month. CorePlan also charges a fee for each staff member using it.
A year of CorePlan
What CorePlan costs over a year
Basic costs $9,000 a year for 1 to 3 rigs. Forms from $550 a month works out to $6,600 a year, before its fee for each rig. Staff Management from $500 a month works out to $6,000 a year, before its fee for each staff member. Those add-ons and monthly usage charges can increase your bill. Professional and Enterprise are quoted privately.
Underneath the bill
What you are really paying for
Screens over your plods
Your office's plods, rates and claims live inside CorePlan's system. Part of the bill pays for the screens your team uses to enter and manage those records, rather than a database you own.
Each submitted shift
CorePlan says its default pricing depends on the number of plods or shifts submitted each month. That means the bill reflects activity as well as your plan, and a night shift counts as another plod.
Analysis in higher tiers
Some analysis is not included in Basic. Rig utilisation and driller performance sit above it, bit usage analysis sits a tier higher again, and custom reports are a separate Advanced Analytics add-on.

Enterprise DNA builds your version around how your business runs, brings your CorePlan data across and runs it for you. It uses a database you own, with one setup fee followed by a monthly retainer and no per-seat plans. You can also use the free version and run it yourself. CorePlan plods can be exported as CSV, and bringing across your records is part of the paid paths.
