Instead of DocuWare
Stop renting DocuWare. Own your records.
We build your version around the records you keep, bring your DocuWare index and exported originals across, and run the system for you.
DocuWare lists a typical Cloud range of $30 to $125+ per user per month. Your final price depends on the configuration and quote.

The document software bill
What your DocuWare subscription covers
Compare your contracted configuration with the records work your team needs. DocuWare covers a wider document platform than this free records desk.
Two kinds of access
DocuWare distinguishes full named users from workflow users with limited access. Compare the roles on your invoice with who handles records.
Storage with your plan
Cloud plans combine named users and included storage. Additional storage is available as the archive grows.
Core document workflows
Cloud plans include indexing, workflow management and forms. Those capabilities are part of the base platform.
Search and version history
The vendor lists full-text search, version control and access controls among its core Cloud features.
Specialist additions
SAP connections, digital signatures and document processing are separately priced additions. Scope those needs before comparing the bill.
An ongoing subscription
The published typical range is $30 to $125+ per user per month. Storage, user types and additions affect the final quote.

Ten questions answered from your records
These combine the records in the free version. Your installed version can add the questions your business asks.
Switching
Bring your records across with the evidence intact
Start with one cabinet and reconcile it before moving the rest of the archive.
- 1
Export the index
Have your administrator configure a document index export with stable identifiers, titles, dates and the fields your business uses.
- 2
Check the mapping
Map the headings, test the import and reconcile the document count. Unknown classes remain visible for review.
- 3
Bring the originals
Export originals separately, match them to the imported records and verify their checksums and readability. Preserve required earlier versions and history.
- 4
Prove the working archive
Review permissions, preservation holds and retention dates. Test backup recovery and run both desks until the records work and required evidence are reconciled.
Where the real effort goes
The index import is one operation. Complete migration depends on the originals, versions, permissions and history your business needs. Enterprise DNA scopes and carries out that work as part of your version.

Questions
Instead of DocuWare, answered
Is the free version a complete DocuWare replacement? expand_more
It covers the business records desk: the index, original versions, retention reviews, preservation holds and paperwork. Enterprise DNA scopes scanning, document search, signatures, shared permissions and other connections into your installed version where needed.
Will our original documents come across with the index? expand_more
An index export carries document details, not the originals. Export the original files separately, match them to their records and reconcile the counts and required versions. Enterprise DNA can handle this mapping and migration for your version.
Does an expired date mean a document can be destroyed? expand_more
No. The owner reviews the lawful purpose, applicable obligations and any preservation instructions. A hold blocks a disposal proposal. The free version records proposals and review evidence, and has no destruction action.
Can our whole team work from it? expand_more
The free base is for one trusted records operator and one business. Enterprise DNA builds the shared access, verified approvals and views your team needs into the installed version.
What do we pay Enterprise DNA? expand_more
One setup fee, then a retainer for the agreed work. We scope your document volume, migration, permissions and connections before quoting. The free base has no licence charge, and you own your records and originals.
