What people compare GageList with

GageList MAX lists at US$399 per month billed annually, or US$4,788 a year per location account, with monthly billing at US$499. If your bill depends on location accounts and gage capacity, you may want a system shaped around your own quality process and records.

How to choose

How to choose a GageList alternative

  1. 1

    What drives the bill

Check how charges relate to your sites and equipment capacity. GageList plans are based on gage limits, with a plan for each location. Paid plans already include unlimited users, so compare the location and capacity costs rather than assuming a per-person charge.

  2. 2

    Who owns your records

Ask where your records live and whether you can keep them in a database you own. Check what happens to source fields and history when you move. Gage records can be imported, but calibration history, signatures, attachments and studies need separate migration work.

  3. 3

    Fit with your own rules

Consider whether the system can reflect your fields and quality process. You may need to review recall dates, calibration evidence, custody or the impact of a failed tool in a way that suits your factory. Agree which screens and connections your operation needs before switching.

  4. 4

    Work involved in switching

Find out how you will prepare and check the records before a move. GageList lets you export gage records through its Reports & Data menu. The spreadsheet needs preparation and its headings need mapping, and each site should be reconciled with its source.

The option that fits

Own a version built for your business

Enterprise DNA builds a version around your quality process, fields and review rules, brings your GageList gage register across, and runs it for you. Your records sit in a database you own, and you work with it in plain language, without per-seat plans. The service has one setup fee, then a monthly retainer. If you prefer to run it yourself, there is also a free version. Calibration history, signatures, attachments and studies need separate migration work.

Questions

GageList alternatives, answered

What does GageList charge for a location? expand_more

GageList MAX lists at US$399 per month billed annually, or US$4,788 a year per location account. Its published monthly billing option is US$499. MAX covers up to 10,000 gages in an account, and the plan selected determines the equipment capacity.

Can I move our calibration history with the gage register? expand_more

You can export gage records through GageList’s Reports & Data menu. Prepare the spreadsheet, map its headings, and reconcile each site with its source. Calibration history, signatures, attachments and studies require separate migration work, so they do not arrive with the base gage import.

Will a replacement confirm that our gages are compliant? expand_more

No. The system checks recorded dates and evidence references, but competent people must perform the calibration, inspect the evidence and decide whether a gage is suitable for use. Generated summaries are working papers, not accredited certificates or electronic signatures.

Can our whole team use an owned version? expand_more

The free version is for one trusted operator. Enterprise DNA can build authenticated access and approval controls around a shared installation. Owners and reviewers can be recorded, but typing a name does not verify someone’s identity.
