Instead of GoldFynch
Stop renting GoldFynch. Own your discovery review desk.
We build your version around the way your firm reviews evidence, bring across your GoldFynch document register and run the agreed system for you.
GoldFynch lists its 300 GB case plan at US$1,650 a month. Keeping that plan for twelve months is US$19,800. Your actual bill depends on case size and duration.

What the GoldFynch bill covers
Compare the case plan with the work you need
GoldFynch charges by case capacity and includes users, processing and productions. Start with the review register you need to own, then agree which processing and document tools your version also needs.
A plan for case capacity
The 300 GB plan is listed at US$1,650 a month. The capacity you select determines the plan charge.
Users included
GoldFynch includes unlimited users. The decision is whether to own your review workflow and its operating costs.
Document processing included
Its plans include processing. Our free base starts from exported document details and supplied text; additional processing belongs in the agreed build.
Productions included
GoldFynch includes productions. Here, the starting point is a draft schedule for lawyer review; agree the required evidence bundle separately.
Review work that continues after export
Your staff still need to check relevance, privilege, missing attachments and adverse documents. Keep those decisions beside the source records.
Your own decision history
Bring the document register into a database you own. Preserve earlier values when a corrected export changes a record.

Review
Know what still needs a decision
Work through unfinished reviews with a named owner and the source record in view.
- check Unreviewed records and overdue work
- check A recorded reason and reviewer for each decision
- check Earlier decisions become stale when the source changes
- check A weekly review of outstanding work, disclosure readiness and record checks
Privilege
Keep the family together
A reviewed email does not make every attachment ready for disclosure. Check the recorded family before drafting the schedule.
- check Missing parent records called out
- check Privileged family members hold the candidate schedule
- check Adverse classifications kept with the review decision
- check Protected and redacted source flags held for inspection
Evidence
Follow a correction back to its source
Keep the imported record, the review history and the explanation for the next decision together.
- check Source identifiers and custodians retained
- check Possible duplicates grouped within each matter
- check Before and after values for corrected records
- check Filename and supplied-text searches across the selected matter
Working papers
Put the review meeting on paper
Create internal working papers in your firm’s name and colours, ready for the responsible lawyer to inspect.

Questions your discovery desk can answer
These are real questions the demo answers. GoldFynch also offers search and reporting; your version can combine the records and rules your firm needs.
Switching
How to switch from GoldFynch
The move involves exporting your document register, importing and checking it, then running both systems side by side until the records and lawyer review are reconciled.
- 1
Export your document register
Use GoldFynch’s documented file-list report and export the document sheet with source IDs, filenames, custodians, tags, family references and other details. Save it as a text spreadsheet export, such as UTF-8 CSV. If your account offers a different export format or you cannot find the report, check with GoldFynch. This brings across the register, not original files, annotations, redactions or production packages.
- 2
Test the import first
Load the exported register into a fresh matter. Start with the import’s test option, which checks the records without saving changes. Review what it reports before importing for real. The register import can preserve the source rows and match records using the matter and GoldFynch ID, so use the test to catch problems with the data before it becomes part of your new review workflow.
- 3
Reconcile the imported records
After importing, compare the source IDs and row counts with your GoldFynch report. Check which records changed and whether any source records are missing from the export. Changed records need another review decision, and a missing row is not automatically deleted. Confirm that custodians, tags and family references came across as expected. Keep the original evidence available because the register export does not include the full account.
- 4
Run both systems side by side
Keep GoldFynch available while your team starts using the new review desk. Compare the register and review decisions, check family gaps and have a lawyer inspect the underlying evidence, privilege grounds and export completeness before anything is disclosed. The new desk does not process native files, create visual redactions, send documents or produce a court-ready bundle, so keep using or separately replace those parts of your workflow.
- 5
Switch off GoldFynch
Turn off GoldFynch only after you have reconciled the records and your lawyer has completed the required checks. Confirm that you have retained the original evidence and any history or working papers your team needs. The register import does not bring across visual annotations, redaction geometry or production packages. If you need those items in the new setup, agree a separate migration scope before ending access.
Where the real effort goes
The main work is usually mapping your own fields and review rules, then deciding which history and working papers to bring. The register export provides source identifiers, filenames, custodians, family references and other details, but it does not move the full account. Original files and visual annotations need separate consideration. If Enterprise DNA runs your version, they handle this migration work as part of the agreed scope.

Questions
Instead of GoldFynch, answered
Does the free version replace every part of GoldFynch? expand_more
It replaces the document register and review coordination workflow for a team that keeps its original evidence separately. GoldFynch also supplies native-file processing, visual review and redaction. We agree the additional processing, storage and screens your version needs before building it.
What can we bring across from GoldFynch? expand_more
The documented file-list report supplies source identifiers, filenames, custodians, family references and other details. Save its document sheet as a text spreadsheet export, then bring it across and compare the records. Original files, visual annotations, redaction geometry and production packages require a separate migration scope.
How does it prevent a privileged attachment slipping into a schedule? expand_more
The draft filter holds a recorded family when a member has an unresolved or privileged decision. It also holds protected or redacted sources. A lawyer must check the underlying evidence, export completeness and privilege grounds before anything is disclosed; the system never serves documents.
Can we change the review categories and working papers? expand_more
Yes. Your version can use your fields, review rules and firm-branded documents. We can add a web front end and the connections your team needs. The free base already keeps review history and flags changed source records for another decision.
What does Enterprise DNA charge to build and run our version? expand_more
One setup fee for the agreed build, then a retainer to run it through Omni by Enterprise DNA. We scope migration, access controls, storage, processing and ongoing support with you. The open-source base is free; hosting and agent usage have their own costs.
