Enterprise DNA

Instead of ICRM BrokerCRM

Outgrow ICRM BrokerCRM. Own your client and renewal records.

Enterprise DNA builds a broking system shaped around how your practice follows up renewals and services claims, maps your ICRM records into it, and keeps it running for you. One system holds the clients, the policies and the follow-up.

ICRM Systems does not publish a price for BrokerCRM or the rest of its suite. The website offers a demo and a free trial; the figure comes from a conversation with them. Checked 24 October 2026.

What you are paying for

A private quote for a CRM that lives inside a wider suite

ICRM sells BrokerCRM next to BrokerBI, BrokerFinance and BrokerBot, all built on Microsoft products. The client records and renewal dates in it are your practice's own work. A good part of what you pay for is the layer that sits on top of them.

request_quote

No number until you ask

Neither icrm.au nor its solutions page shows a price for BrokerCRM. You book a demo or a trial and learn the cost from ICRM afterwards.

view_module

Dashboards sold as a separate product

Benchmarking, revenue forecasts, debtors and renewal reporting are BrokerBI, a different product from the CRM that holds the clients.

account_balance_wallet

Commission tracking in another product again

Commission payments, tracking and reconciliation are BrokerFinance. The renewal list and the money it earns live in two places.

smart_toy

Pre-renewal collection as an extra

Gathering updated risk details from clients before renewal is BrokerBot, a fourth product placed on your website.

cloud

Tied to your Microsoft setup

ICRM says the suite integrates with your Microsoft 365 tenant apps and works through Outlook, Teams and SharePoint. Changing how you run Microsoft can change how you run the CRM.

lock

No stated way out

The ICRM pages talk about moving your existing data in. They say nothing about taking your clients and policies out again.

What you get instead

One broking record that answers questions

Clients

Each client and every cover they hold

A client carries its policies and their sections underneath it, so a business with property, liability and motor reads as one relationship, not three rows.

  • check Who has been on cover longest without a conversation recorded, ranked by premium
  • check Every policy a client holds, with insurer, sum insured and premium side by side
  • check Which broker looks after which clients, and what changes hands if one leaves
  • check Endorsements kept with the date each one took effect

Renewals

Follow-up driven by stage, not by a reminder

Renewals move through stages, from not started to in market. The Monday list starts with what has slipped.

  • check Bands at sixty, thirty and fourteen days, with premium at risk in each
  • check Renewals waiting on an underwriter past the date terms were promised
  • check Anything past expiry and still showing as in force, at the top
  • check Which insurer takes longest to come back with terms, by class of business

Claims and compliance

A file a reviewer can follow

Claim events and advice records are stored as fields, and a check lists every file that falls short of the rules your practice works under.

  • check Open claims sorted by how long since the client last heard from you
  • check Placements in the past year with no advice record written
  • check Each rule names its clause in the Insurance Brokers Code of Practice, and in New Zealand the Financial Markets Conduct Act
  • check Claim updates drafted from the record for a broker to check and send

Brokerage

The money beside the book

Brokerage sits in the same records as the policies that earn it, so the renewal list and the income report never disagree.

  • check Brokerage earned by month and by insurer
  • check Brokerage booked and never received, by age
  • check Branded schedules and summaries in your own colours
  • check A new field, stage or report added by describing it in plain English

Switching

How to switch from ICRM BrokerCRM

A move involves requesting spreadsheet exports from ICRM, mapping their columns, checking a test import, then running both systems side by side before you stop using ICRM.

  1. 1

    Request your export

Before your ICRM term ends, ask ICRM in writing for a full export of your clients, policies, contacts and renewals. ICRM's pages describe moving data in, not out, so check with them about what your account allows and how to receive it. Ask for CSV or Excel files. Ask about any additional history you want to bring across.

  2. 2

    Test and review the import

Have the export columns mapped to the fields in Broking for Claude Code. ICRM's columns may not match the import format, so check the mapping before loading records. Run the test import first. It shows every row that would come across, so review the rows or issues it flags and resolve anything you do not want carried forward.

  3. 3

    Load the agreed records

After reviewing the test, load the agreed clients, policies, contacts and renewals into Broking for Claude Code. Keep the scope clear, including which history you are bringing across. Check that the records are present in the new database before relying on it for live work. If something does not map as expected, resolve it before treating the new records as complete.

  4. 4

    Run both systems together

For a short period, keep ICRM available while you use Broking for Claude Code for live client and renewal work. Compare the records you rely on, especially upcoming renewals, and check that new activity is being recorded in the right place. This overlap gives you a chance to catch gaps in the imported data or the way your team handles the work.

  5. 5

    Switch off ICRM

Once you have checked the imported records and completed the overlap, make Broking for Claude Code the place your team uses for client and renewal records. Stop entering new activity in ICRM, then arrange the end of your ICRM service directly with ICRM. Keep any other systems you still rely on for work outside the client and renewal record.

construction

Where the real effort goes

The main work is usually mapping your own fields and rules, then deciding which history to bring across. ICRM's columns will need mapping to the import format, and not every record needs to be moved. If you have Enterprise DNA run the migration, they handle the mapping and test the records before anything is saved.

Questions

Instead of ICRM BrokerCRM, answered

What does ICRM BrokerCRM cost? expand_more

ICRM Systems does not publish a price for BrokerCRM, BrokerBI, BrokerFinance or BrokerBot. Their site offers a demo and a free trial, and the price comes from them. Bring your current invoice to the call and we will work out your yearly total together.

We already work in Outlook and Teams. Do we lose that? expand_more

No. Your email, calendar and documents stay in Microsoft. What moves is the client and renewal record. Enterprise DNA connects your version to your mailbox so a renewal conversation lands against the right client, the way your brokers are used to.

How do we get our records out of ICRM? expand_more

ICRM's pages describe moving data in, not out, so ask them in writing for a full export of clients, policies, contacts and renewals as spreadsheet files before your term ends. Their columns may not match the free version's import format, so the records are mapped on the way in. Enterprise DNA does that mapping, and a test run shows every row that would come across before anything is saved.

We use BrokerFinance for commissions. What happens to it? expand_more

The free version tracks the brokerage each policy earns, but it never holds client money, pays commissions or reconciles a trust account. If you rely on BrokerFinance for that, it can stay running, or the work moves to your accounting system, with your auditor's agreement. We scope that first.

Is this only for a small practice? expand_more

No. A sole broker and a network member office need the same records: clients, policies, staged renewals, claims and advice files. The bigger the practice, the more it is worth owning them, because every report and rule changes when you ask, not when a vendor schedules it.

Bring your ICRM invoice to a 30-minute call

30 minutes with Sam. We look at which ICRM products you pay for, what your brokers actually open each week, and what your own version would look like. If it fits, we build it and run it. If staying with ICRM is the better call, we say so.
