The plans
What Inprotech charges
Clarivate publishes no Inprotech price, so you need a private quote. The bill is built around a modular licence, an implementation project and yearly maintenance.
Modular licence
Quoted privately
Clarivate sells Inprotech by module, with implementation and yearly maintenance on top.
How the bill is built
Modules in your licence
Inprotech is sold in modules, bundling case records, a rules engine, workflow, documents and billing into one licence. Check which modules your team uses against what your invoice lists. Clarivate does not publish module prices.
User count in your agreement
Attorneys, paralegals and the records team all need the docket. Ask Clarivate how your agreement counts users before renewal, as the public information does not set out a per-user price.
Implementation project
Implementation involves configuring rules, screens and reports, and can run for months with a consultant. The public information does not give a project price, so ask Clarivate what implementation work is included in your quote.
Yearly maintenance
Yearly maintenance is charged on top of the modular licence and implementation. Clarivate does not publish its price, so check your agreement or ask for a quote to see what your annual maintenance costs.
A year of Inprotech
Your yearly Inprotech bill
There is no public annual figure for Inprotech. Clarivate quotes it privately, so use your own invoice to see what it adds up to over a year. The bill is driven by the modules in your licence, the implementation project and yearly maintenance. Ask Clarivate how your agreement counts users as well.
Underneath the bill
What you are really paying for
A bundled front end
The licence bundles case records, a rules engine, workflow, documents and billing. You are paying for these parts together in a modular system, so check which modules your team uses against the ones listed on your invoice.
Configuration and changes
Setting up rules, screens and reports takes an implementation project that can run for months and involve a consultant. Changes after implementation are additional work, so ask what is included in the project and what would be handled separately.
The docket and its dates
Your docket holds cases, office actions and the dates they start. Renewal tracking includes due dates, reminders, client instructions and grace periods. These are the records and date details your firm depends on, alongside the system that manages them.
The owned alternative
An owned version of your docket
Enterprise DNA builds IP Docketing around how your business runs, brings your Inprotech data across and runs the system for you. Your records sit in a database you own, and you work with it in plain language. The managed version has one setup fee, then a monthly retainer, with no per-seat plans. There is also a free version you can run yourself.
IP Docketing for Claude Code
One setup fee, then a monthly retainer. No per-seat plans, no tiers, and the system is yours.

Questions
Inprotech pricing, answered
How much should you budget for Inprotech each year? expand_more
Clarivate does not publish an annual price, so there is no public yearly figure to use for a budget. Ask for a private quote and check your own agreement. The bill is driven by the modules licensed, implementation and yearly maintenance.
Does your Inprotech invoice depend on users or modules? expand_more
Inprotech is sold in modules, but the public information does not set out a per-user price. Attorneys, paralegals and records staff all need the docket. Ask Clarivate how your agreement counts users and which modules are included.
Can you bring your Inprotech records to another system? expand_more
The free version can import Inprotech's case search export and due date list, with a test run first. Enterprise DNA can map a full extract, including renewal history, when it builds your version. Imported dates need to be checked by your team.
