How the bill is built
Every employee is licensed
The employee licence costs AU$21 per person per month, billed annually. You pay for every person on your payroll, not just HR. As your workforce grows, the employee licence bill rises even if your HR team does no more work.
HR users pay separately
Each HR user who works cases needs a service desk licence. Salesforce lists this at AU$70 per month on Enterprise Edition or AU$105 on Unlimited, adding a separate charge for the people handling cases.
An optional add-on
Agentforce for Service is listed as an add-on at AU$175 per user per month. If you add it, it sits on top of the employee and HR service desk licences rather than replacing those charges.
Billed annually
Salesforce lists the employee licence as billed annually. Its price works out to AU$252 per employee a year, before the service desk licence for each HR user or any add-on is included.
A year of Salesforce HR Service
What it adds up to yearly
The employee licence is AU$252 per person a year. Each HR user adds AU$840 a year on Enterprise Edition, or AU$1,260 on Unlimited. Your annual bill depends on how many employees and HR users need licences, with Agentforce for Service adding AU$175 per user per month if included.
Underneath the bill
What you are really paying for
Access for every employee
The employee licence applies to every person on your payroll, not only the HR team. That means the workforce size drives this part of your bill, even if the amount of casework handled by HR stays the same.
A separate HR desk licence
HR users who work cases need a service desk licence as well as the employee licence charged across the workforce. The price differs between Enterprise Edition and Unlimited, so your HR user count and edition affect the bill.
Screens around your records
The price includes access to the employee portal, chat and service desk screens. Underneath, the records are people, cases, process steps, decisions and warnings, held in a system you rent rather than own.
