Instead of SAP Business One
Stop renting SAP Business One. Own your orders, production and batches.
We build your version around how you quote, make and ship. We bring your SAP Business One records across and run the system for you.
SAP does not publish a price for SAP Business One in New Zealand or Australia. Partners quote a licence for each named user by type, either as a subscription or bought outright with yearly maintenance, then an implementation project and support on top. Put your own renewal and partner invoices next to ours.

What the licence pays for
A named-user licence for every login, and a partner for every change
SAP Business One reaches a small manufacturer through a partner, so the bill comes in parts: licences by user type, the implementation, then maintenance or subscription and support. Your version starts with the work your office, floor and warehouse do every week, and leaves the ledger with your accountant.
Every login is a named licence
Starter, Limited and Professional users are priced differently. The storeman who only books receipts and the supervisor who closes runs still each need one.
The user type decides what people can open
A cheaper user type cannot reach every screen, so roles end up shaped by licence cost rather than by the job.
Implementation is its own project
A partner scopes, configures and loads your data before go live, quoted separately and often sized by whether you distribute or manufacture.
Maintenance or subscription every year
Licences bought outright carry a yearly maintenance fee. Subscriptions keep running for as long as you use it.
Reports and approval rules are consulting time
A new report, document layout or approval procedure is usually a partner job. In your version it is a plain request and a small, tested change.
Hosting and version upgrades
The database server underneath needs hosting, and moving to a new release is often another partner project.
The week, in your own words
Make what is due, buy what the runs need, know where every batch went
Planning
Know what to buy and make today
Projected stock for every item after open orders and planned runs, against its reorder point.
- check Get a suggested quantity rounded up to the supplier's order multiple
- check See the date each order had to go in by, and which are already late
- check Check every run against the components on the shelf before releasing it
- check Leave held and expired stock out of what counts as available
Production
Runs that use the oldest stock first
Bills of materials, production runs and the batch each run makes.
- check Issue components first expiry first out when a run is completed
- check Give every finished run its own batch and best-before date
- check Record part runs and close the rest with a reason
- check Print a production sheet with the lots to use first
Traceability
One step back, every step forward
Every receipt, run and dispatch carries its batch, so a complaint becomes one question.
- check Trace a supplier lot through every run to every customer who received it
- check See what is still on your shelf, and put it on hold in one step
- check Draft a recall notice for each customer affected, ready for a person to send
- check Record practice recalls so you know the trace works before you need it
Selling
Quotes, approvals and credit in one place
From quote to order to dispatch, with the checks a manager would make.
- check Turn a won quote into an order with the same lines
- check Hold any order below your margin floor or over the customer's credit limit for a named approver
- check List quotes that have gone quiet or lapse this week
- check Flag credit customers with no PPSR registration recorded

Ask it anything
Questions your own records can answer
These ten questions work on the demo today. A partner can build reports in SAP Business One too. The difference is that these are yours to ask and change, without a change request.
Switching
How to switch from SAP Business One
A move involves exporting your operating records, mapping your fields and rules, checking a test import, then running a parallel month end before you switch.
- 1
Export your SAP records
Use the Query Manager queries in the SAP Business One guide to prepare exports for business partners, items, bills of materials, stock, batches with expiry dates, and open orders. The import uses SAP Business One CSV exports. Export what your account allows, usually CSV or Excel, and check with SAP Business One if you need help preparing them. Keep your accounting records in your accounting system.
- 2
Load a test batch
Start with a test run of the import before loading the records you plan to use. In plain terms, give it the exports and let it check and map the records into the new database. Begin with business partners and items, then bring in the other records you need. Include batch stock with expiry dates if you need those records for operations.
- 3
Review flagged records
Read the import results before you commit to the full load. The free version checks the whole batch before keeping anything, and skips frozen, inactive, and closed records. Review what it flags, decide whether the source record or your field mapping needs attention, then correct and test again. Confirm that the records you expect to use have come across as intended.
- 4
Run both side by side
Keep using SAP Business One while you check the new system against your live operations. Enterprise DNA's guide recommends a parallel month end. Compare the records and results your team relies on, and resolve differences before you move day-to-day work. This gives you a chance to check the data and the agreed links to your accounting system before relying on the new setup.
- 5
Switch off the old workflow
Once your team has checked the records and completed the parallel month end, stop entering the operations records you moved into SAP Business One. Use the new system for those operations instead. Do not turn off an accounting system you still rely on. The general ledger, GST returns, and payroll stay in your accounting system, with customer and supplier balances copied across from the ledger with a reference.
Where the real effort goes
The main work is usually mapping your own fields and rules, then deciding how much history to bring across. The guide covers the records the import reads and what stays behind, but your processes and data determine the detailed mapping. If you have Enterprise DNA run the system, they handle this migration work as part of bringing your records across.

Questions
Instead of SAP Business One, answered
Can we bring our SAP Business One records across? expand_more
Yes. The guide gives a Query Manager query for each list: business partners, items, bills of materials, stock, batches with expiry, and open orders. The free version checks the whole batch before keeping anything and skips frozen, inactive and closed records. We map your own fields, load your batch stock and run a parallel month end before you switch.
What happens to our accounting, GST and payroll? expand_more
They stay in your accounting system. This replaces the operations side: quotes, orders, approvals, stock, production and batches. Customer and supplier balances are copied in from the ledger with a reference, and we agree the link to your accounting system when we build your version.
Can it handle a food recall? expand_more
It traces any batch back to the supplier lot and forward through every run to every customer, shows what is still on your shelf, and drafts a notice for each customer. Your written recall plan and the call to the regulator stay with your team. Practice recalls are recorded so you can show the trace works.
Our floor staff do not sit at a desk. Do they need a laptop? expand_more
The free version is used by asking questions at a desk. For the floor and the warehouse we build scanner and phone screens into your version, for receipts, counts and finished runs.
What does Enterprise DNA charge? expand_more
We agree a setup fee for bringing your records across, your workflows and connections, then a retainer if we run it through Omni by Enterprise DNA. The free version has no licence fee or per-user charge. Hosting and agent usage are separate costs.
