What the subscription covers

A broad reporting package, priced for your organisation

Workiva does not publish a numerical list price. Its packages cover more than the disclosure desk. Match your renewal to the work your team actually needs.

Switching

How to switch from Workiva

A move usually involves exporting and mapping your reporting figures, checking the import, then running both systems together before you stop using Workiva.

  1. 1

    Export the records

Ask Workiva what your account can export, then export CSV spreadsheets for the reporting periods you plan to move. Include the figures and, where available, each figure’s code, label, value, unit, evidence reference and date. Workiva supports spreadsheet exports, but sheet layouts are user-defined. List documents, attachments, comments and previous certifications separately because the figure import does not bring them across.

  2. 2

    Map and test the figures

Arrange the exported figures in a sheet with one figure per row and columns for its code, label, value, unit, evidence reference and date. Match your column headings to the fields Disclosure Desk expects. Run a test import first and review it before loading the records for real. This gives you a chance to check the mapping and catch problems without committing the import.

  3. 3

    Check the import findings

Review what the test import reports. Correct invalid rows before importing, since one invalid row rolls back the whole file. Identical records are skipped. Changed values require an explicit decision before they are updated, and changes to linked figures mean affected disclosures need a new sign-off. Reconcile formulas, comments, attachments, old review decisions and tags separately, since they are not covered by the figure import.

  4. 4

    Run both side by side

Keep Workiva available for a short period while you use Disclosure Desk for the operator disclosure work you are moving. Check that figures, source references, reconciliations, follow-ups and review decisions are accounted for in the new database. Use this period to resolve differences and confirm which documents and historical records need separate handling. Agree any document workflow or connections your custom version needs before relying on the switch.

  5. 5

    Switch off Workiva

Stop using Workiva only after you have checked the moved records and agreed how to preserve the history you still need. Disclosure Desk covers the operator disclosure desk, not statutory filing, XBRL tagging or collaborative document editing. Confirm who remains responsible for those tasks and for any specialist reporting services before ending your Workiva process.

construction

Where the real effort goes

Most of the work is mapping your own fields and reporting rules, then deciding which history to bring across. Figures can be imported as a mapped sheet, but documents, attachments, comments and previous certifications need separate reconciliation. Enterprise DNA handles the mapping and agrees how that history is preserved when you have them install and run it.

Questions

Instead of Workiva, answered

Can this replace our whole Workiva reporting process? expand_more

The free version covers the operator disclosure desk: reporting periods, figures, source references, reconciliations, follow-ups and review decisions. We agree the document workflow, staff screens and connections your custom version needs before switching. Statutory filing and specialist reporting services remain a separately agreed responsibility.

Can we bring our Workiva history across? expand_more

Workiva supports spreadsheet exports. The free version imports a mapped figure sheet after a test run, skips identical records and requires an explicit decision before changing an existing figure. Documents, attachments, comments and previous certifications need separate reconciliation. Enterprise DNA handles the mapping and agrees how that history is preserved.

What happens when a figure changes after review? expand_more

The linked report sections require a new sign-off. Earlier decisions remain in the history. A reviewer must check the current version, clear its exceptions and supply the new decision.

Does a sign-off mean the report is compliant or filed? expand_more

It records the decision the operator supplies for that version. It is not an authenticated signature or an accounting opinion. The free version checks evidence and recorded retention dates, produces internal review documents and does not file or send reports. We agree team access and review controls for your installed version.

What do we pay Enterprise DNA? expand_more

One setup fee, then a retainer for the agreed custom build and operation. Workiva supplies a private quote and includes unlimited users. Bring your renewal and reporting requirements so we can compare the work you need. The free version is available to run yourself.
