Claude Code CLI adds plugin eval and higher concurrency

AI Pulse · AI Trends Pulse

The play

Test plugin evaluation and higher concurrency in a sandbox, establishing scored acceptance tests before adding more agents to operational workflows.

Claude Code version 2.1.269 adds a few practical features that matter if your team is building internal AI tools, not just experimenting with chat prompts. The biggest is claude plugin eval, which lets teams run scored tests on plugins. In plain terms, you can set up repeatable checks to see whether a plugin produces the result you expect before putting it in front of staff or customers. That makes it easier to compare versions, catch regressions, and decide whether a tool is reliable enough for a real workflow.

The release also introduces output-style switching and raises the concurrent agent limit in Claude Code’s Workflow tool. Output styles give builders more control over how results are presented for different tasks. Higher concurrency means more AI agents can work at once within a workflow, which may matter for jobs with several independent steps, such as reviewing documents, preparing reports, checking data, or drafting responses across a queue. The details were announced in the Claude Code update.

For operators, the signal is clear. The AI stack is moving beyond one assistant answering one question at a time. The work now is designing controlled processes where tools can be tested, outputs fit the job, and multiple tasks run without someone manually coordinating every step. This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, where the focus is on making AI activity visible, measurable, and useful across day-to-day operations.
