AI Pulse · Under the Radar
The play
Keep customer context portable by choosing tools with exportable histories and avoiding workflows dependent on one agent vendor.
Skillsync, a YC W26 company, is tackling a problem that comes up quickly once a business uses more than one AI tool. Your useful chat history and working context tend to stay trapped inside the vendor where they were created. Move to another agent and you often start again, explaining the customer, project, data definitions, decisions, and constraints all over.
Its product aims to let users carry that context between different AI agents, rather than relying on one vendor’s memory. The launch drew 22 points and 20 comments on Hacker News on day one, which is early interest, not proof that the product has solved the problem at scale. Still, the topic matters because enterprise buyers are increasingly asking how they can avoid building critical workflows around a single model provider or chat interface. You can see the initial discussion in the original report.
For an owner or operator, the practical question is simple. If your team changes AI tools next year, what knowledge comes with them? That includes customer context, operating procedures, decisions made in chats, and the prompts people rely on to do their work well. If none of it travels, switching costs rise and adoption slows.
This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, where business context should sit above any one agent, rather than being buried inside individual chat histories.
