The play
Use mainstream first-person coverage as a signal to simplify agent onboarding, consent, and everyday use cases for consumers.
Several major Australian mastheads, including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, WAtoday and Brisbane Times, have run the same first-person feature about living with Meta’s AI agent. The story is framed around personal experience and consumer use, rather than regulation, enterprise procurement or the technical details of the product. You can see the original version in The Sydney Morning Herald.
That matters because the conversation around AI is moving further into everyday work and personal routines. When large mainstream publishers give space to a first-person “I tried it” story, it helps make AI agents feel less like a specialist technology topic and more like something ordinary people may test for themselves.
For business owners, the practical signal is not that every AI agent is ready for every job. It’s that staff, customers and competitors are increasingly likely to form opinions about AI from consumer tools before any formal company decision is made. That can create pressure to respond quickly, often before you have clear rules on where AI should be used, what data it can access, and who owns the output.
The sensible move is to get ahead of that curiosity with a simple internal position. Identify a few low-risk uses worth testing, set boundaries around sensitive information, and make it clear what staff can and can’t use in their work. This is the kind of thing we build into an AI command centre, giving leaders one place to see where AI is being used and where attention is needed.
