Free frontier-model plugin adds Xiaomi MiMo V2.6

A plugin for the dsh agent harness is offering free, no-login access to models including Muse Spark 1.3 and Xiaomi’s MiMo V2.6. The pitch is simple: no API keys, no account setup, and no direct billing with the model provider. The project is moving quickly on GitHub, with reported star growth of 91 per day. For operators, the interesting part isn’t just another way to test a model for free. It’s the growing pattern underneath it. Paid model APIs are becoming valuable infrastructure, and tools that route around normal access and payment controls are appearing alongside legitimate developer platforms. That can look attractive when a team wants to experiment cheaply. It also creates obvious questions around reliability, data handling, service continuity, and whether access could disappear without warning.

Don’t build a customer workflow or internal process around unofficial model access just because it works today. If your team wants to test it, keep the work isolated from sensitive company or customer data, and treat results as experiments rather than production capability.
