What you are paying for
Separate the approval work from the platform bill
A broad application platform comes with more than an approval register. Compare the parts your business uses and the controls your own version needs.
A platform starting price
The French-language pricing page lists Basic from $2,500 a month. The English page asks you to discuss pricing.
The application builder
Basic lists limited applications and unlimited workflows. Decide how much of the application platform your approval work needs.
Connections between systems
Basic lists limited integrations. Enterprise lists unlimited integrations.
Reporting at different levels
Basic lists limited reporting and analytics. Enterprise adds advanced analytics.
External portals
The Basic comparison excludes external portals. Include any portal needs when comparing your options.
Enterprise governance
Governance, single sign-on and service commitments appear in the Enterprise comparison. Agree these requirements for your own version.

Questions your own approval records can answer
These are real questions the shipped reports answer. Kissflow also offers configurable reports. Your version starts with the questions your weekly meeting needs.
Switching
How to switch from Kissflow
A move usually involves exporting a flat request report, mapping your headings and approval rules, reviewing imported records, and deciding which history and other Kissflow parts to move separately.
- 1
Export your request records
Use Kissflow’s documented report CSV export to take a flat report of the requests you want to bring across. Include the report headings and source status, and decide which records belong in the move. If your account does not offer the report or fields you need, check with Kissflow before planning around another export route.
- 2
Map and load the report
Map the report headings to the fields you will use, then load the flat report into the new database. Start with the import’s test run before saving anything, and check the result. The import preserves source fields and source status for review. Keep demo records separate from your real business records.
- 3
Review and reconcile imports
Check the imported records and any headings the import flags for review. Compare the results with your Kissflow report, resolve mismatches, and confirm that the records and source status make sense. Imported records require review. Attachments, historical decisions, and workflow designs need separate mapping, so do not assume they came across with the report.
- 4
Run both side by side
For a short period, keep Kissflow available while you check the new records and approval process against it. Agree which system is authoritative during the overlap so the team does not treat conflicting records as final. Confirm that the approval sequence and review steps match the process you intend to move before relying on the new system.
- 5
Switch off Kissflow
After you have reconciled the records and are satisfied with the new process, move the team to the new system and switch off Kissflow for that process. Keep any Kissflow parts you still need, such as attachments, integrations, identities, or historical decisions, in scope for separate migration or continued use. The free version is not a replacement for every Kissflow application or platform feature.
Where the real effort goes
Most of the work is not loading the report. It is matching your field names to the new records, defining your approval rules, and deciding whether attachments, workflow designs, integrations, identities, and historical decisions need separate migration. If you have Enterprise DNA run the replacement, they handle this mapping and reconciliation with you before switching.

Questions
Instead of Kissflow, answered
Is this a replacement for everything in Kissflow? expand_more
The free version covers internal requests, sequential approvals and decision records. We scope your applications, portals, mobile entry and connections before building your version. Bring the processes your business depends on to the call.
What will it cost us? expand_more
The base is free and open source. Running it has hosting and assistant usage costs. Enterprise DNA charges one setup fee, then a retainer for the agreed managed work. We review your actual Kissflow contract rather than assume a price from a regional starting figure.
Can we bring our existing requests across? expand_more
Yes, from a flat report export with its headings mapped. Original fields and source status are preserved for review. Attachments, historical decisions and workflow designs need separate mapping. We reconcile those with you before switching.
Can an assistant approve a request for us? expand_more
It records a decision the assigned reviewer has actually made. The base checks the step order, asks for evidence and blocks a requester deciding their own request. Reviewer names are labels, so shared use needs identity and access controls built into your version.
Can the team work from a screen and receive reminders? expand_more
We build the screens, reminders and connections your team needs into the managed version. The free version supplies the approval records, printable reports and draft follow-ups. Nothing is sent automatically.
