The play

TakeOff's three-person, $10M run validates outcome pricing at enterprise scale, use it as a comp when scoping your own deals.

Three people built a company to nearly $10 million in annual recurring revenue in a matter of months. TakeOff ran fully autonomous agents that handled voice calls, SMS, email, customer portals, and API integrations for other businesses. They charged seven figures per contract. Sierra just acquired them and is spinning the model into a new brand called Horizon, according to The Information.

The business model is what matters here. TakeOff didn’t sell software licenses or charge per seat. They priced on outcomes. A client paid for the work the agents completed, not for access to a dashboard. That let a tiny team compete on the same playing field as companies with hundreds of employees, because the agents did the work at scale without adding headcount.

This is a live proof point for what we’ve been building with systems like the Omni Command Centre, where the value comes from what gets done, not how many people touch it. If three founders can hit eight figures in months by deploying autonomous agents across multiple channels, the same economics apply inside your own company. You don’t need a vendor relationship. You need agents that run your workflows, answer your customers, and close your loops without waiting for someone to log in and click buttons.

Sierra’s move to formalize this under the Horizon brand signals they see the market shifting from “AI tools you operate” to “AI systems that operate for you.” The acquisition price wasn’t disclosed, but the speed and contract size tell you everything. Businesses will pay serious money for agents that deliver results, not for another piece of software that requires training and babysitting. If you’re still thinking about AI as a feature in your stack, you’re already behind the teams treating it as the stack.
