The problem
The first two weeks of an engagement are often lost to missing purchase orders, data requests with no owner and consultants waiting for building passes. Partners chase admin when they should be starting the work.
How it works
- Starts the kickoff checklist as soon as a statement of work is signed
- Calls and emails the client contact about what is still open, one item at a time
- Sends the first data request to the right owner on the client side and sets up data room access
- Books the kickoff meeting with the engagement partner, on site or by video
- Updates the checklist and tells the partner what is still outstanding
What it connects to
- AgentHi Olivia, it's Ivy from Pellbridge Consulting. Thanks for signing the organisation design engagement on Friday. I'm setting up your kickoff with Natalie Ho. First, we still need your purchase order number. Do you know when that's coming?
- OliviaProcurement is issuing it this week.
- AgentGreat. The data room invite went to you this morning, and the first data request asks for current org charts and role descriptions by next Friday. Who should own that on your side?
- OliviaKevin Tam in HR.
- AgentThanks, I'll add Kevin to the data room and send him the list. For the kickoff, Natalie has Tuesday at 10am or Wednesday at 3pm, at your Kwun Tong office or by video. Which suits, and who can arrange building passes for our four consultants?
- OliviaWednesday at 3, at our office. Kevin can sort the passes too.
Illustrative conversation. Names, numbers and details are made up.
