How does the XNPV work?
The XNPV function (DAX) returns the present value for a schedule of cash flows that is not necessarily periodic.

     <table>, <values>, <dates>, <rate>
)

Considerations when using the XNPV?
  • Rate is provided as a percentage (.12 for 12%)
  • Dates and values must be in chronological order.
  • Dates must be valid Excel dates
  • XNPV doesn’t discount the initial cash flow
